The Nicaragua Appeal
Two members of our walking group went to Nicaragua in January to work in one of
the remote villages for the Peace and Hope Trust. One of them is returning in the
autumn and what she wants to do is to set up a craft group. This will be to make items
to be sold by the trust so that young people who are currently making their living by
scavenging on the local rubbish tip or by prostitution can have an more satisfactory
source of income. She will need to find resources locally, but to get things started she
wants to take a supply of craft items with her - there is a list of things below. She is
also looking for sewing machines
I wonder if any of you or any friends / club members have any of these items that you
would be willing to donate?
If so, please bring them to my stand at Croydon (Selsdon) on July 23rd or of course
you can bring / send them to me.

at Shepton Mallett April 21 - 24th or to Heathercraft (Faygate, W. Sussex) including
their open days June 23 to 25th).
